President's Welcome
Transportation Engineering is a rapidly growing field with new issues arising every day. With cities growing more and more, Transportation Engineering becomes increasingly important as we try to effectively move people and goods around in these densely populated areas. Unlike most engineering disciplines, Transportation Engineering involves understanding human behaviour and how we react to infrastructure surrounding us.
The objective of UBC ITE Student Chapter is to provide Civil Engineering students with an understanding of the field of transportation engineering, and the career opportunities in the field that are available to them. To this end, UBC ITE acts as a link with industry and researchers, and hosts various events throughout the year, related to transportation engineering will be held, including:
